'Strong Advocate'
nominated for

national award

Tom Strong has been nominated for a national book award.

Strong, a MATA past president and partner in the Springfield firm Strong-Garner-Bauer, was published last fall by the University of Missouri Press. "Strong Advocate" has met with acclaim statewide and is now nominated for "the best work of legal scholarship published in 2012" by Scribes, the American Society of Legal Writers. The award will be presented Aug. 9 in San Francisco, with a book-signing by the honoree.

In other "Strong Advocate" news, Mr. Strong will discuss his work at the annual meeting of the Inner Circle of Advocates this August in Aspen, Colo. Strong is an emeritus member of the Inner Circle.

The university press recently announced that it has sold the audiobook rights to Redwood Audiobooks, a niche company which has co-published audiobooks with Wiley Audio, Penton Overseas, McGraw-Hill, American Media International and Time Warner.
