Summary
In Session One of this three-part series on the shifting paradigms in the speed trial and damages, Joe Fried conducts a deep dive into the speed trial and how the new paradigm shapes your case preparation and trial strategy. He will discuss the present paradigm for conducting trials, why it takes so long to try a case and whether or not there is a correlation between the length of a trial and the verdict amount.
He will show how fear and limiting beliefs play into trial strategy and presentation and explore whether other paradigms should be considered. What if you could work from a new paradigm that identified what the case needs to be about and what you need to prove to win, how to get to the point quickly with less fluff, fewer witnesses and fewer points?
You will learn how the new paradigm works in practice, including how to limit the number of issues and the number of witnesses needed to prove your case and how to make it easy for jurors to get the point.
He will share examples of cases and an outline for medical doctor depositions.
